During the class, you will learn how to paint a range of objects, as well as discovering your lucky color and the best locations to boost your positive energy.

Chinese Painting is known worldwide for its distinctive style. Painting has been practiced in China since the early days of history. In this class we will look at two distinct aspects of painting from the Song and Yuan dynasties. Many painters created highly detailed scenes of daily life, so we can look at paintings as a window into life during this period. Painting as an art form also flourished during the Song dynasty, considered by many to have been the golden age for the fine arts. In this class, we are going to learn how to paint a range of popular subjects using Traditional & Contemporary Chinese Brush Painting techniques. Subjects gradually increase in difficulty, and feature such subjects as swallows, bamboo, wild orchids, plum blossoms, pandas, horses and more.

Calligraphy is an art widely practiced throughout modern China. Although it uses Ancient Chinese characters as the medium of expression, you don't need knowledge of Chinese to appreciate its beauty. Calligraphy is an abstract art that can be enjoyed by everyone. During this class, we are going to learn how to paint a range of subjects using Traditional & Contemporary Chinese Brush Writing techniques. Projects gradually increase in difficulty, and feature characters such as 福（luck) and 名字(Chinese Names).
